Journal of Shariah Law Review is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing research and academic discourse in the field of Islamic law and contemporary legal studies. The journal provides a platform for researchers, academics, legal practitioners, and policymakers to publish original research articles, theoretical studies, and critical analyses that contribute to the development of Shariah law and its application in diverse legal, social, and institutional contexts. The journal is published biannually in April and October.
The scope of the journal includes: (1) Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) and uṣūl al-fiqh, (2) Islamic family law and inheritance law, (3) Islamic criminal law and constitutional law, (4) Islamic economic and commercial law, (5) comparative law, legal reform, and Shariah governance, and (6) contemporary issues in Islamic law, human rights, technology, and global legal developments from an Islamic perspective.
Journal of Shariah Law Review encourages the publication of empirical research, doctrinal and normative legal studies, comparative legal analyses, and interdisciplinary approaches that address current challenges in the development and implementation of Islamic law. The journal is committed to fostering rigorous academic scholarship and promoting innovative legal perspectives that support justice, sustainability, and the advancement of Shariah-based legal systems in contemporary society.
